Giving Curaçao’s Reef a Helping Hand with Reef Renewal Curacao

After a couple year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mesh Digital and I had the great chance to get back in the water and volunteer to help with Coral Reef conservation efforts, this time in Curacao. Prior to the Pandemic we’ve helped for several years restore coral reefs, especially staghorn corals across the Southern Caribbean and the Lesser Antilles, while scuba diving and working with local reef conservation organizations. This year we had the great opportunity to do so in Curacao.

It’s our belief here at Mesh Digital that climate change, the non-sustainable fishing of the oceans, plastic waste including microplastics, and human pollution represent the greatest challenges to overcome that mankind has ever created and known. That’s why as part of our own Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs we choose to help protect and renew our oceans. It’s a small contribution, but every little bit helps, and we want to continue to develop and grow our efforts over the next several years to ensure the health of our Oceans, thus the health of our communities and society at large.

I’ve previously mentioned that as we see it, there's a difference between caring about a cause and doing something about it! What action will you take to support causes you believe in? Stand up for Something!

And feel free to drop us a line about your own conservation efforts, we’d love to hear from you at [email protected].
